Initial installation of All¹Mix software

The initial installation of All¹Mix software is quite simple.

1.	HASP-key Since the software is protected using a USB HASP key, you must first install the appropriate drivers. They can be downloaded from the developer’s website: [1]

It is better to use the current version of the driver, for today it is: Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_setup.zip After this, you need to connect the supplied USB key to the appropriate USB port on your computer. You can check the functionality of the key in any browser using the link: [2] In the list of available local features (Features), a number should appear that corresponds to the four-digit engraved on the metal connector of the USB key. Please note that System Remote Desktop (RDP) is not compatible with the current HASP security system!

2.	License registration After this, you need to run the attached software license registration file for this HASP key.

This file is transferred to the user upon purchase either as an attachment in an email, or via network storage or FTP. This is a system batch .bat file that can be launched by clicking on it in Windows Explorer.

3.	NDI If you intend to use NDI signals, then preliminary installation of NDI Tools is desirable: [3]
4.	All¹Mix After this, you need to install the All¹Mix software itself using the appropriate current installer.

Current builds of software installers are accumulated and are available for downloading from a folder on FTP using the link:[4]

Please note that current software builds are actually beta versions and may contain some errors that are identified during operation. However, this is where software builds with operational bug fixes, including critical ones, end up.

Versions of installers that are considered sufficiently stable are uploaded to a separate folder on FTP with a significant delay:[5]

After installing the software, you can verify that the license is applied correctly in the Help/About menu, which displays the software version, the number of the HASP key to which the license is associated, and a list of software functionality that corresponds to the installed license.

If you are interested in current demos or free versions of the software, they are also stored on FTP:[6]

5.	Initial setup Further software setup should be done in accordance with the instructions (TV Studio All¹Mix).

First, this concerns setting the operating modes of the software and installed equipment. If you purchased an OEM kit (software and cards), then instructions for installing and connecting the boards and drivers for the boards are usually available on the manufacturers’ websites.

All¹Mix automatically detects correctly installed cards at startup, and they can be added as input or output in the appropriate sections of the interface (MEDIA/Video Input, Tools/Settings/Output Devices).

It should be noted that All¹Mix can work in parallel with other installed products of the ForwardT line, accordingly sharing the necessary resources. Licenses of most ForwardT products for FDExt boards are usually sufficient to operate the All¹Mix software, since only the actual input and output on the boards is used (in “render” mode) without using the built-in output title mixer (“mixer” mode) in the drivers of Forward product boards (the corresponding The license for the title output engine is not consumed when running All¹Mix).

If separate boards are used for All¹Mix without installing ForwardT products, then FDExt boards require a separate license registration file for their operation. This file is transferred to the user upon purchase either as an attachment in an email, or via network storage or FTP. This is a system batch .bat file that can be launched by clicking on it in Windows Explorer.

In this case, to use Forward I/O boards (FDExt), compact drivers can be downloaded from FTP: [7]

You should choose to download the latest drivers during initial installation.

There you can also download a utility for recording to a file from the inputs or outputs of FDCapture boards, which can work in parallel with All¹Mix.

Configuration of installed Forward boards is carried out using the FDConfig2 utility, its description is available on the website at the link: [8].

There you can also find information on various boards, devices and other SoftLab-NSK products: [9]
