“MEDIA CONTROLS” panel (AllMix 2.0, AllCast)

Serves for managing arbitrary media from slots and a media library. This is especially useful for managing media assigned to textures in 3d scenes (so as not to occupy extra slots).

Media control is added to the panel using the “+” button on the toolbar. A modal dialog with the current media library will be displayed, where you can select the media to control. It supports the management of current media assigned to slots, PIPs, Program, Preview (selected in the tab of the media library “Mixer Elements”).

After selecting the media, a tab with the name of the media appears in the panel, in which the media control corresponding to this type of media is placed.

You can remove the media control (tab) from the panel using the “-” button.

You can replace the media with another one in the current tab by dragging (drag-n-drop) from the media library or slot. If there are no media controls (tabs) in the panel, then dragging and dropping creates the very first media control.

Hotkeys or console buttons can be assigned to the commands of the first four media controls.

To assign hotkeys, select Tools \ Settings ... in the main menu and select the Hotkeys item in the opened program settings dialog. There you can assign keyboard buttons to the following media control commands:

  • Control #N: Play / Pause
  • Control #N: Stop
  • Control #N: Previous
  • Control #N: Next

where N (from 1 to 4) is the serial number of the media control added to the “MEDIA CONTROLS” panel. This number is displayed in the tab before the name of the media.

Assignment of console buttons to commands of the first four media controls is also carried out in the application settings dialog in the sub-dialog for assigning commands to the corresponding console. You should pay attention to the presence of the command "Media Control # 1: Playing in progress", which is used to highlight the button depending on the status of media playback. For this command, the “Output” direction is always used in the settings.
